Read One Steel's announcement. Full "$346 million in cash (on a cash and debt free basis) to WPG in consideration for the iron ore assets." Also looks like the Deutsche funding deal is getting the flick irrespective of whether or not the deal goes ahead. I wonder if they get their options? That's a plus.

WPG touting $1 franked distribution, which will leave them with +$100mio in the bank, coal assets and a nice piece of waterfront property (albeit unused).

Thank goodness you don't need a license to be an investor. These sellers must be in dire straights if they can't wait till october.

Management is obviously clearing the decks to do a repeat with their coal assets. They have proven that they know what they are doing and they'll have the cash to back it up.
