JP Morgan - Over weight - 23rd Oct
The broker sees news the Queensland State Government is looking at scrapping the 30-year old ban on uranium mining as a definite positive for Paladin, as the company has some nice looking exploration assets in the region.
This might be just the thing to spur on the company to sell some of its Mount Isa JV assets, which JP Morgan notes are worth about $250m. The market would probably quite like such an outcome, thinks the broker. The Overweight call is maintained, with the broker finding the company's leverage to a rising uranium price compelling.
