Thanks for the info guys. Interesting link on the gas fraccing method. First I have heard of it also.

According to the Ann of 27/10/2011 Petrofrontier is using Schlumberger to do the fraccing.


"Once MacIntyre-2 has been drilled, PetroFrontier intends to frac and complete the well
using multi-stage open hole techniques. Final results will then be released from MacIntyre-2
and the completions crew will subsequently return to Baldwin-2Hst1 to conduct a similar
completion program there. It has always been PetroFrontier's strategy to frac MacIntyre-2
and Baldwin-2 back to back in order maximize cost controls.
PetroFrontier intends to use Schlumberger, the Australian representatives of Packers Plus, to
run the multistage open hole completion string and conduct the fracture stimulation
program"

No mention of gas fraccing on Schlumbergers site ???http://www.slb.com/ Is it just me or does the drill site for Macintyre 2 look like the graphic on the INTERSECT reservoir simulator on Schlumbergers home page ???????????????????????????????????

Given that Schlumbergers are a well recognised oilfield services company surely aren't they just licensed to use PP fraccing technology??

Anyway first I have heard of them and they pioneered the multistage fraccing system so extensively used in the US shales today.

Hopefully between the two of them we should get a trouble free state of the art fracc job on our two wells!!
