particularly if they are having to cash settle hedges on fuel they aren't using due to all the groundings
the QAN HY20 report suggests some use of options rather than forwards - they have 45% downside participation for remainder of FY20 and 80% for H121
but the footnote refers to downside of $10/bbl, so possibly they have traded away the substantial fall that has occured.
