re: cairn, command petroleum and brw Command Petroleum was a good Sydney based comapny. It was the first non-Indian company to be awarded acreage in India. ROC has come out of the ashes of Command. My only reason for commenting was that I dont want to see HDR go the same way as Command.
More interesting is the current edition of BRW. It has 2 intersting articles:
1. Interview with Phil Aitken (BHP B Petroleum).
2. "The Future BHPs"
the 6 companies identified are: BHP, WPL, AWE, Consolidated Minerals, Newcrest and HDR!
