These capital raisings really are the pits for retail shareholders. Honesty not sure how they sleep at night.
Compare the recent capital raise of HVN which was a renounceable share rights issue at (significant) discount.
You (at retail level) could participate or sell the rights for real money. Your choice. Everybody happy- with non participants picking up the value of the revocable rights.
Or, you could do a WBC or BOQ and sell the new shares at at a 10% discount to the institutional investors, with some leftover crumbs for retail, GUARANTEEING an immediate loss of 10% of your capital instantly.
Taking the easy path. Really stinks.
