I see your point about the recent dividend payout and then CR, but what do you think would have happened to the SP if they had chosen to suspended the dividend? I don't think it has been handled well with regards to retail investors (but we both know Mrs Market doesn't care about them and they are more or less cannon fodder) but I don't think there was any other choice. They simply don't have enough capital to satisfy the APRA requirements.
The SPP of 25 million for all shareholders is pretty useless though, unless they significantly upsize it, but even at say 100 million there's not much per holding. So if you want to take advantage of the current SP weakness due to the CR the only choice is really to buy on market. And that time may have passed this morning (I missed it). Such is life.
