At the time of the Granting, but non issuence of the TOL,Najib added to the delay by ordering that a PSC (Parliamentry Select Committee)be selected to look into the issue.
Most at the time thought this was overkill,and just part of a delay tactic.
It will now turn out to be our greatest blessing in disguise.

Until the PSC, the protestors were primarly concentrating on the hazards and dangers of the LAMP.Plan A.
The legal side of things was mentioned,but it was always more in the background..Plan B.

Plan A Was up against the IAEA,AELB,Scientists,experts,etc & really never had a chance.

This left only one stone to be upturned.
Someone to audit MOSTI.
To check that the Law,Regulations had been correctly adhered to.

Enter PSC.

Audit was done.MOSTI was given a tick,and recommedation to Parliament ..the Lawmakers.. TOL be approved.

The committee is satisfied the LAMP has met all necessary standards and ...LAWS.... of Malaysia.

EVEN SO,THERE HAVE BEEN ...LEGAL...REQUIREMNTS AND... STANDARDS... IMPOSED ON THE LAMP THAT WERE MORE STRINGENT THAN INTERNATIONAL STANDRDS.

Najib preempted that Plan B would happen.


If MOSTI had not been audited..our stress level leading into the 8th would be 50% higher...as thats what this court case is about..the LAW..Regulations..legally adhered to etc

As the PSC stated basically...they found things that needed tweeking legally..which they tweaked even above International standards...this proves that the audit was thorough and comprehensively covered.

We need to know that..not that there are some legal loopholes that could give cause to the Judge to instigate a JR and cause further delays.

Legally ..having the PSC endorse MOSTI is much like publically the Sultan endorsing the safety of the LAMP.
