Thanks Ryzie for getting this thread back on track. Very well articulated and hopefully the newbies or wannabee investors take a good read of this, do some of their own research and realise that if they are looking for a long term investment hold, IOU is the stock to be in. It seems some people are worried about competition and unless there is a monopoly the company won't survive.

I've never understood that fear. Competition is good and as long as IOU executes things properly (which they have done 100% so far), there is no reason they can't take their share of the pie. Product awareness in the marketplace can be an expensive thing to do. With some BNPL players already there, they are doing the advertising for us.

As you pointed out - and I think missed by a lot of people on this forum and looking at IOU in general - is we are NOT just lookiing at people with credit cards. It is the underbanked who might use a debit card or an ewallet or neither. The IOU technology and partnerships they have in place, as you rightly pointed out, allows them to do instant credit checks on this underbanked section of the population and this is a huge front runner advantage that we have. Transactions may not be large like developed Western nations, but 260 million+ people, the dollar value doesn't have to be large - as long as we have the volume. Obviously we we still get our share of the richer population that does have credit cards and spend more, but the underbanked is an untapped source of revenue that IOU is primed to take advantage of once it has it's Indonesian money lending licence approved, which according to their roadmap is early Q2.

Thanks again Ryzie for the time you took on that post. Hopefully we can get rid of some of the rubbish that has appeared in the last couple of weeks and get people doing some meaningful and informative posts - much more enjoyable to read.
