While part of your message is subjective, I have to disagree that PayPal is a fading brand.
PayPal for me has always been my preferred method of choice when processing payments where their service is offered. Easy to use and secure.
PayPal has continued to grow over the last few years and has generated more income each year than in the year before. If anything, PayPal's BNPL offering will continue to expand and grow the business. With the amount of existing customers they have, I think its a great move and response to the growing popularity of BNPL.
All in all, the effect this will have on IOU will be minimal, and I am not worried whatsoever, I'll continue to hold.
