IMO it was just coincidental. I can't imagine a strategic partnership of that magnitude having any negativity associated with it. I can't remember any announcement being met with sharp SP increase either though. I could've gotten a head injury banging my head against the wall after the SP did nothing post lending license announcement!
The last few announcements of lending license and strategic partnerships were expected though. For us it was amazing, because we've been on the journey and have done our analysis, for others who haven't spent the time understanding how difficult a lending license is to obtain in Malaysia, and the importance of the partnerships, they were just tick the box exercises on the way to launch.
