The margin is definitely what your CEO says. It's 0.5%.
These margins always get squeezed over time because there is no shortage of unqualified middle men players in that sort of scene. To them, someone else's margin is their opportunity and they just undercut their competitors. It's easy pickings. The IOU may have been higher once but no more and never again.
