Hey @kevin103, I'm not sure the BNPL companies fall under this moratorium. The article quotes, "In cooperation with banks". Of course I don't know for sure but my speculation is that this will only affect banks that use a traditional loan structure. The repayment periods have been extended and minimum payments have been reduced. Sounds a lot like BNPL is what they are offering if you think about it.
We could even see consumers borrowing money from banks and then using a BNPL product to manage their cashflow.
Even if it didn't work out that way, what would stop IOU from taking out a loan under the moratorium to cover BNPL costs during the period?
I think this could actually help IOU in my opinion.
