I usually only take notice of the depth 3 or 4 lines either side of the current SP.
Its certainly an easy way to create hype or fear by simply placing large orders at the extreme ends, dependent on the direction you want to take it.
I personally feel the current price action has been driven by an uncertainty of the market to the latest qtrly and the sector as a whole. I think the low volumes is testament to this whereby its possible some institutions may use this as an opportunity to drive the price down prior to any positive anns that could be just around the corner.
