Funnily enough the listing numbers on ebay have just ticked upwards for the first time in months, though it's hard to make out with the scale on my chart. Similarly, the number of pages of listings on Amazon has increased around 10% since the end of August. The fact that sales numbers have continued to increase while listings were flat or falling for the last couple of months suggests to me that some optimisation of product offerings has occurred, though I'm veering into the realm of speculation now.

There's been some good discussion about the new website, I wonder how easy or difficult it would be to add a "people who bought this item also bought x" or "suggested accessories for this item" section to listings? For example if someone is looking at a laptop, do they need a docking station, monitors, external keyboard/mouse, headset, etc. Does this type of marketing generate more sales or is it just an annoyance when shopping online? I don't know the answers but there are plenty of smart people in this forum and Garrison and the team seem open and responsive to suggestions so why not throw ideas out while the website is still in beta?
