    It's not that simple. There is a diagnostic and also a predictive component. Currently you can get a blood test to test your kidney function but it is not that reliable, especially at the early onset stage of DKD. The current pathology methods can't also tell if you will develop diabetic kidney disease ( DKD ) in the future . Just because you have diabetes doesn't mean you will develop DKD so this where the 67% accuracy comes in. It ties the two in together.

    It's a bit like getting your Cholesterol test done and it's high ( like mine ). The doctor will then tell you are at risk of developing heart disease but they can't predict whether you will or won't. Because there are plenty of people walking around with high cholesterol who never get heart disease. Proteomics promarker can like the two but with a different organ in the kidney. And if there was a test that gave me 67% accuracy to say I would develop heart disease it would be very useful to me.

    I'm sure you won't understand it because 67% seems to be such a stumbling point for so many. Anyway good luck to all that hold, plenty other irons in the fire for this company. Will take a break from posting on this thread.
