THere are plenty of examples where consolidation of shares results in lowering the value of your holdings. The last one I was involved with was View (1 for 10) and look where they are now. I know its unfair to compare Dio and VRE but the point is that in general, consolidation doesnt seem to help smaller players.
Just my opinion though!
