I've just been through 2 consolidations DIO 27 / 1 and MPO 10 / 1.

Both of these shares have fallen from their pre consolidation price.

DIO gave free options in the LSR spinoff. You could have made a bonus on DIO as it went higher initially but was unable to trade as etrade didn't accept the interim code DIODA for a couple of days.

MPO didn't exceed its consolidation price but again couldn't trade the MPODA shares until etrade got its act together but by then the price had fallen.

Just my experinences in consolidations to date.
