I agree with some of the valuations and times taken for some of the deposits you mentioned to come to fruition. You do mention also that "Brazil is not the best country to discover a big deposit. Neither is Ecuador or Chile." When I was a pup doing geology as well as later, we were using deposits in those South American countries as Type Examples to explore for Porphyry Cu mineralisation and later for epithermal Au. Those examples led to discoveries in the Indonesian, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Island discoveries as I'm sure you know.
