I'm not pointing to any lazy people trying to buy a house.
All I'm saying is that some people have unrealistic expectations.
What jobs are there that are only in the CBD that can't be had elsewhere?
The suggestion that the young people are on $80k a year, to me, doesn't seem to suggest that they are in the financial industry. The need to be 60kms from the centre of Syd/Mel is a choice.
Young people with the a craving for a house of their own will take a leap of faith and move or change jobs.
Just like the generations before them.
I bought my first house block in '91 for $15500 but it was 280kms from the CBD now I have a house about 30kms from Perth.
