I know plenty of tradies. Few of them would have a chance getting a mortgage nowadays without a whole lot of lying and a whole lot of borrowings from family for that deposit.
Sure there are middle management level jobs in the smaller CBDs like Parramatta, Liverpool etc. There are also professionals raking in over $100K a year too. There are also successful local business entrepreneurs who are the millionaire next door. On the whole though, most work at jobs that only pay some $50K to $60K a year while properties around them goes for $700K to $800k.
