If you think 1 mill minus rent is a comfortable retirement, then seriously, I feel sorry for you, but each to their own I suppose.
Not to mention, living in a retirement village haha, You call that living? To me, that means your dead waiting to be buried.
Mind you for me, living on land less than several acres, is a retirement village, so perhaps I'm not one to be giving opinions in this area. I'm also one that thinks along the lines of, if I don't want what the average have, then don't do what they do!

So in other words, your happy to EAT your assets and bugger you kids?

The days of thinking you are set up for life with 1 mill behind you, are long gone IMO.
