There doesn't appear to be much substance to the patent infringement claim. Eagleview can see Nearmap gaining traction and real estate with technology and a product which is superior in every way.
Eagleview vs Verisk was a totally different case. Are we all aware that Verisk attempted to take over Eagleview but was knocked back due to the possibility of it creating a "monopoly" in the market? So during takeover talks and due diligence Verisk and Eagleview were very much in each others back pocket. Honestly, the case notes reads like a drama novel.
Eagleview vs Nearmap is just preventing the inevitable- US dominance by Nearmap.
