In Terms of Newmont when you have a total resource of a 142 million ounces, there share price isnt impacted by the find of a 2 million ounce deposit. As far as im aware in terms of asx listing rules, correct me if I am wrong. Results only have to be released if they are going to have a significant impact on the share price.

These very large mining houses there share prices are more influenced by profit results, profit guidance and current commodity prices.

I believe these large companies like to keep a lot of there mineral discoveries a secret for as long as possible, so they can buy up leases and explore futher a field as cheaply as possible.
