K-man, I hear you, I'm doing some distance education through an unnamed Uni based in Oz and also provide mentoring for some of the overseas based student.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you on most of your points, alot of these students lack basic literacy skills etc. and you got to wander what these uni's are thinking, but of course it's all about the dollars and cents which makes no sense given these people are to assume 'real' roles in the community with their sometimes meager training. cheers,n
