    Like you, ozzir, I'm personally suspending judgement on this; though, I suspect, the AFL might just know something we don't and they're responding to those who also might know.
    One thing for sure though, an addict of anything, should be helped and encouraged as much as possible to overcome his/her addiction.
    The fact that he is a good footballer cuts no ice with me. I had to teach kids whose parents were destitude and addicted. No one gave a stuff about them or their kids. The problem is vast and -what I'm afraid this will do is to get the authorities to cencentrate their attention on athletes and forget about the rest of the community... from which these athletes emerged in the first place. It'll be placing a bandaid in the most visible wounds and looking away from the festering cancer on the rest of the body. I hope not.
