The AMEI looks to be quite a big affair in Malaysia and for their Trade & Industry.

Lynas and Nick are missing from the Programme - which is quite remarkable in one way (ie Lynas LAMP being one of the largest investments on this scene for Malaysia and future large contributor to Malaysia's GDP) but in another quite understandable (ie given the problems with TOL and Fuzzy and the political ball game).

One is a great look for Malaysia going forward into the modern world the other a PR nightmare as far as foreign investment is concerned and particularly given the very nature of this conference (which incidently features a presentation by another RE Company Exec).

It would not be hard to imagine that Lynas & Nick were invited but declined (politely or not so) due to TOL hanging in the balance.

Therefore, what better way than to announce the granting of TOL with full media present - bernama & NST (well the ones that count) and the International, Asian and Australian community present?

MITI's Mustapa is on to open the show at 2.45pm Malay time - we shall see............
