The media are really eating up this 'Zaarly acquisition' angle. Just to be clear, as Airtasker have stated themselves, they have bought the assets of a failed start up. Zaarly is dead and means nothing. They got a US based team and its user base for $3.4m.
It was a smart move by them, you'd think it should have gone a bit cheaper though as the doors were already being closed. First step post acquisition is probably to burn all the Zaarly branded T'shirts in the office.
