I was simply replying to a poster who seems to think that under no circumstances will any company's market value fall below its market cap, which is not the case. There is nothing stopping a company from falling below cash at bank value. There are thousands of companies around the world trading under cash backing, and they span across all sectors (industrials, mining, tech, bio, finance etc) and mcap.

Businesses should be valued on cash flow and not cash, cash is useless in creating shareholder value unless its used to acquire/develop something that provides organic cash flow, or is otherwise returned to shareholders via special dividends/capital returns.
