The algo's rule, the ASX will do nothing as they see the algo's as key to liquidity (which is a joke) and as such ignore the manipulation. You should have been an oil trader when the machines pushed Brent to $147 even though it is a contract that should be driven by fundamentals.
All exchanges are weak when it comes to black boxes/hedge funds/algo's whatever hat they wear they are never good for the market.
