Learnt the hard way about SPPs over the years.
The only way to defeat them is whenever you trade you retain 1 share in the company. If you trade a lot you eventually build up a lot of potential exposure to SPPs, which are then essentially a free option for $15k of shares on the company when they have a SPP.
It also means that they have to spend more money than your single share is worth every time they post you something - not ideal.
May not be morally appropriate strategy but only way I could think of for a retail shareholder to get back to an even keel with all these dilutive placements at discounts to sophisticated investors.
