Even up to late last year they still had an option (albeit an expensive one) to return to their former child but severed it when MH negotiated a Rio payoff. Attendees at the December EGM may recall my question as to whether that deal cut all possible ties with a Rio involvement.

If, as we all believe, we have such a marvellous potential money maker then one cant help but be curious why Rio Tinto is not interested. Could it be that somehow they dont ever want to be haunted in the future by the environmental mess that they left ?
