Zionism runs counter to Islamist (and Hamas) ideology and Arab-Muslim imperialism which has more or less colonized most of North Africa and the Middle East. It isn't "acceptable" when a longer living, indigenous population and culture (not just Jewish) says enough to this ideology. Look at a map of the region according to religion and language spoken. Do you think all those countries adopted Arabic because they were fans of Ibn Rashd's best-seller? No, it was imposed on them and local cultures were erased. Jews too don't go down to well with their Jihadist occupation plan and so these Jihadi imperialists have always treated them as second rate citizens in their colonies.

Jews have been sufficiently reminded over the past few centuries that they would never be sufficiently European and that they should "go back to where they came from". Well it's done. Jews have returned to the land of their ancestors. Complain to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East whre they were persecuted. If they'd never migrated back to Israel, half of today's Palestinians would still be living in Syria, Iraq and Egypt, just like their ancestors who immigrated to Palestine for economic reasons.

If the Palestinians' priority is to live in this territory, the best thing for them is to HOPE to become Israeli citizens. If their priority is to live in a country with a Muslim majority, or under Sharia law, which is their current situation, there's no shortage of that in the region.
