Another big lie distributed by the new generation of self-appointed advocates on behalf of the "Palestinian cause".
In war, Empires collapse, new states are born, and people may lose their property, get displaced, or die. Arabs and Jews were displaced because of global wars way before the modern Arab-Israeli conflict.
A small percentage of the Arab population in the Middle East was displaced in comparison to the displacement and ethnic cleansing of the majority of the Jewish population in the Arab World.
While hundreds of thousands of Jewish families were able to move on and never complained about being ethnically cleansed from The Arab States. The Arabs still mourning for their loss.
Unlike the Arab States, Israel didn't ethnically cleanse the Arabs, in fact, hundreds of thousands of Arabs remained in the State of Israel and kept their homes until today. They weren't given a 24-hour notice to leave Israel in response to the short notice that was given to the Jewish communities in Algeria, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia.
Arabs of the West Bank and Gaza were able to keep their properties after the Arab humiliating defeat in the 1967 war.
It is not a matter of stealing land. It is the consequence of war.
Arabs have been suffering the unpleasant result of war, and I understand their disappointment. Their pain is real but their narrative is not.
