I took a closer look at their actual products and while I understand the real world is messy and corporates sometimes keep buying things off vendors cause once they get installed into an enterprise stack they are hard to get rid of. But seriously I can't see, as someone who has worked in IT for over almost 25 years why AWS and Azure would not crush IRI's flagship product.
Monitoring? Big deal. AWS and Azure do it natively
Dynamic Alerting? Big deal. AWS and Azure do it natively
I think the real reason customers are "delaying purchasing decisions" is they now have a cheaper better option to do this stuff in the cloud and they are voting with their feet.
IMO this company will be crushed by the cloud. I would run away. Management did.
