It begs the question of why is Tabba Tabba, the resource even sitting there?
I actually know the answer to this!! During the Second WW, TT was mined for tantalum. After the war it was declared a strategic reserve, so it was a no go area. At some point, I don't know when, it was no longer needed for strategic reasons.
I found this and lots of good information about TT, Strelley and Pilgangoora, plus Wodgina, in a little booklet put out by Geoscience Australia, titled...........
"Characteristics of Sn-Ta-Be-Li-Industrial Mineral Deposits of the Archaean Pilbara Craton, Western Australia."
It's a fairly old downloadable booklet of 52 pages. It probably should be read by our management as well, as there are other possible TTs out there in theory, so depending on where the tenements are available, a few opportunities still exist.
