I understood Directors are breaking insider trading rules if they trade when they know about something that is about to happen. If they trade when they hope something will happen thats OK.
For instance, if they ( like us ) are hopefully waiting for the Supprise Production Licence to be granted or a JV partner to sign on the dotted line they can trade without any problems unless they actually know when it will happen.
