At the end of the day, it’s not about what the historical performance has been as we all have different entry points and are sitting on varying returns. I’m up significantly with NEA in my super however relatively flat in my personal holding. The emphasis needs to be placed on where the SP could be in the next 1, 3, 5, 10 year timeframes depending on the type of investor you are. I know you are not recommending those stocks but just for example, I would be pretty confident in saying there is a higher likelihood of NEA doubling in size sooner than REA. But that’s my perception and forward looking of the market.
I do agree with you that backing one horse is almost a guaranteed losing strategy.
