    Further to our cap gains discussion, there may be 1 other way to elude tax.
    If you own NTU in your personal shares, but also run your own super fund [I run NTU in both super & own portfolio].
    I remember in 96, I transferred a number of shares across to start my super fund rolling & there were no fees or taxes at that stage in doing that. Then transfer NTU from super fund into an allocated pension fund [which your accountant can create as part of your super] & sell & presto, no tax. This may have changed since 96, but check it out if you are desperate.
    A simpler way is to sell a stock you have that has lost heaps on to offset your gain - don't lie-nobody has all winners-usually 1 dud every 4 stocks or so.
    Otherwise, just pay tax, cause your'e still way ahead.
