Cheers GB. So you think the restriction for the scoping study (0.5-1mtpa) would be to do with the mongolian/china border crossing or the russian/mongolian? With the mongolia railways using a russian rail gauge and russia part owning the copper mine at erdenet, I doubt this would be an issue?? Only reason I ask is the price of coking coal is at record highs of $300+/tonne and at 550t per truck it doesn't take long to see the potential? 60mil/pa in revenue from 1 truck? Yes the cost of transporting via road is expensive, but so is paying a few billion for the rail link? Start small and ramp up quicker i say, which will obviously fund part of the drilling that is required and show to any financiers that aKm are serious about this development...
I can only imagine the difficulties of drilling in Mongolia let alone Ovoot? with little to no infrastructure it'd be a nightmare but i still see the potential of any announcement.
