I have read a lot of the historical documents from the Creasy days and the ENT days.
Creasy did soil samples and found some indicators.
ENT did some shallow drilling if I remember correctly.
The drilling done was shallow and was not intended to penetrate the phanerozoic cover rock.
As you can see in the image from the GAL presentation yesterday, GAL and LEG had to go deeper through the rock cover to get to the juicy results. They are juicy results.
CR1 is within the defined nickel belt (crudely drawn in blue)... We're all looking forward to what's beneath our cover rock
