that is a US site... and yes it does detect the IP as coming from aussie.... so change your IP to somewhere else (Azerbaijan, Nigeria, .....wherever) and it is all the same sign up. There is only 1 waitlist no matter from where in the world you IP.
They are up to about 10,290 odd on that list.
