The gas content for the Blackwater field looks good, but does anyone know if there are any issues with the dewatering capabilities of the field, considering that there are so many outcrops of coal nearby. It would be intersting to know if there was any meteoric recharge into the coals, and whether the coals were acting as aquifers. If this was the case then the field may run into the issue of not being able to dewater the coals quickly enough prior to new meteoric water taking its place. Thus the water would not be removed from the coal, and no gas produced. Until pilot wells are put in the ground and some of these wells are tested I wouldnt get too excited, although overall looks good. Any thoughts?
