Although there are many successful vaccinations against multiple viral infections, as mentioned by J8.
It has been challenging so far to develop a vaccine against single-stranded RNA viruses ( to this group belong HIV, Ebola, SARS, MERS, Influenza, Hepatitis C, COVID 19). The flu vaccine, for example, has to modify every year due to frequent mutations of the influenza virus and its efficacy is only around 70% ( better this than nothing IMO)

The fastest developed vaccine took four years ( mumps). It usually takes 10-15 years.

Currently, there are around 20 vaccines under development ( Novavax, Moderna, J&J, Regeneron, CanSino Biologics, Sanofi ,GlaxoSmithKline etc)

Almost, without a doubt, this vaccine will be the fastest developed vaccine we will cut some corners tho.

In terms of antiviral meds, they are even harder to produce, and they only work beautifully in theory, not in practice. There is no single antiviral medication that has satisfactory efficacy.

A vaccine will be developed before an antiviral. I have no doubts about it.

If BIT had anything that could be used in any development of anything against the current virus, why is it the only company in the world that doesn't announce it?

Hope this ridiculous belief about them saving the world from the COVID pandemic dies quickly, and we all can focus on HIV research
