What a great post.

The short answer is that they are still testing.

The long answer requires some understanding. Totally good thinking about antivirals always needing a combination of drugs. They got HCV down to two, and Biotron may well be employing synergy testing in combination testing for CV themselves. No drug is showing much promise yet against this virus but I don’t think it will be very long until many new drugs show efficacy in the lab and are rushed through preclinical. Biotron will be first cab off that rank and will announce this as soon as the grants are published.

HIV cure will likely take four compounds perhaps, possibly less ......and that’s where the focus is, MM has reiterated this. But separately financed CV preclinical studies are coming imho.
