    I base my opinion on the data available - what do you base yours on?

    While it has been a long time since I worked with HIV directly (actually more than 20 years ago), I do have some understanding on what basis pharma companies invest in new drugs and what they want to see before spending tens of millions of dollars. The don't fork over enormous amounts of money to back drugs that failed earlier trials in areas awash with generic competition.
