It is good to have a real discussion about things.
Back to the key point of my post.

I did state the 90% efficiency of some vaccines ...if that is true?
But what are the real side effects. People have had issues with vaccinations in the past.

Vaccinations are not 100% iron clad safe for all people. ( eg. they claim 90% for Moderna vax)
Errr ...90% is not good enough. 90% doesn't stop a pandemic.
Worse, You cannot rollback a vaccination if it goes wrong for you.

This is the reason some people are AntiVaxers.

They cannot even vaccinate the whole population at once.

The BIT drug is safer in that respect. You just stop taking it if there is a problem.

Efficiency really does not mean it doesn't work.....for some people.

An example of misusing efficiency figures.
eg.
I have had countless arguments with my father about solar panels.
He refused to get them in the beginning.
His argument was the cells were only 17% efficient ...at best....compared to coal fired....yadayadayada

We got solar panels.
He gets an electricity bill. We don't.
But our solar cells are only 17% efficient!
Hopefully, you get my real point...
We are very happy with our 17 % efficient cells that just work!

You have to be careful with efficiency and percentage numbers. It can be used to mislead.
People are different and respond differently to medicine.
eg. I know someone who is allergic to probiotic yoghurt. It makes that person really really sick.
But probiotics are suppose to be good for everyone right?
So that person needs an alternative to probiotic yoghurt.
Probiotics isn't suitable for that person.

BIT is in that position with its drug candidates.

BIT drugs can work within individual cells such as brain cells etc. (covid-19 ...think lung cells or other reservoir cells)
It can target other areas within the body vaccines cannot.
It may be less efficient...because it is harder to get in the cell.
It doesn't mean they don't work or are not beneficial to the person....at the right dose.

BIT drugs will be part of the toolkit to fight these persistent viruses.
They are more likely to be applied effectively in combination treatments.
But they are an equally important part of the cure.

So the BIT drugs....
1. Use a different mechanism
2. Can target different areas of the body to vaccines.
3. Have a very good safety profile.
4. Are cost effective.
5. Will not have severe temperature constraints
6. Will probably work with Vaccines in combination or as a staged treatment to eradicate the virus.

The BIT drugs address a gap in the treatment plan left by vaccines.

Efficiency figures can be used to mislead ... and shouldn't be used by themselves when deciding
the best health treatment.
