We now have a brand new variant - BA 2.75, strangely a mutation from the original BA 1 strain, (ie not derived from the present BA 4 or 5 strain). Meaning the virus is evolving so quickly that vaccines are an ineffective way to treat it, (ie mutation rate to rapid for vaccines to be made in time). This means, at least in my mind, a bigger emphasis on antiviral research rather than vaccine research. Is Biotron still in the game here, or have they come to a brick wall due to funding issues?, who knows?, no news from the company.
