re: in play Right. Think about it. Affinity has been talking to CDO for a few months. They have now decided to make a 'hostile' bid. They arn't going to walk away from this (as they threaten) without raising the price a fair bit. Even if there isn't a 'white knight' the market can play the role. Their internal investment range is $US300-500m. This is about like $320USD. So they have lots of room in their criteria range. Finally, they are inexperienced enough to take the bid up bait. Their other two deals here have been 'pass the parcel' deals from other private equity groups. No, this baby has a long way to run. I just hope the rest of the market realises that!
