Or that it was just local, to the area in which man had spread to. So Noah, would have then needed only to populate the ark with a few goats, sheep, camels, whatever regional was need to be replenished afterwards.
If GOD can part the Red sea for Moses and the slaves to escape Egypt. Then he could manage a local flood event.
